This is a spacious one storey country house located in a rural area, but very close to towns and beaches. It has a lot of potential and lovely views over the hills. It is completely ‘off the grid’ using photo voltaic panels for electricity and a borehole for water. There is plenty of water and also a large lake that is filled with rainwater. This could be converted to a natural swimming pool. There is a back-up diesel generator for particularly cloudy days which also trickle charges the batteries. This is not often necessary.

The house comprises three bedrooms, a large bathroom, open plan lounge / dining / kitchen, an office / study or spare bedroom and a beautiful light living room looking out onto a pretty courtyard with a bread oven and water tank-come-splash pool with super views. There is an open fireplace in the lounge as well as a Scandinavian wood burner which also heats the living room by virtue of granite cladding on the wall. One bedroom has a salamandra and the main bedroom has a big Bavarian wood burner. The walls are thick and the roof is insulated with 18cm of cork under the tiles.

The huge plot is generally wild but could be cleaned up and possibly terraced in part. There are flat areas and steeper parts going down to a small stream.

Although there are two neighbouring houses, this is a very private spot with possibilities for rural tourism or just living in and enjoying the surrounding nature.
