This impressive property is located on the hillside among cork oak forest. Due to the plot size it is hidden, private and peaceful but not at all remote. The nearest restaurants are about 2 minutes drive away and the lovely mountain town of Monchique with all amenities is about 5 minutes' drive. It’s easily reached on a tarmac road to the main gate.

The driveway is shaded and tree lined. The drive through garage with doors at each end also has direct entry to the house. Immediately surrounding the house are beautiful mature gardens, a huge saltwater pool and amazing views over the hills to the sea. Most of the land has been left natural with greenery and granite boulders.

The ruin is at the bottom of the land and can (subject to planning permission) be built up to 300m2. There used to be a garden with fruit trees and vegetable plots which could all be reinstated. It has its own driveway and could be independent from the main house.

The house is entered through a wooden door to a grand hall with patio doors to the pool and garden. On the left of the hall is a guest cloakroom and then a large anteroom with built-in wardrobe and a seating area. This leads to two en-suite bedrooms.

On the right is the kitchen leading to a huge utility room and beyond this a storage room, garden room and the stairway to the garage and huge warehouse. At the end of the hall on the right is a vast open-plan dining hall with a living area and bar. Several patio doors open to the garden and pool. Through doors from the bar area is a small staircase to a bedroom, bathroom and lounge area with a small terrace to admire the south-facing views.

There are radiators throughout heated by a special wood burner with back boiler. High ceilings ensure a cool climate in the summer months. The access and ground floor is wheelchair friendly.
This property would make a super home but is also perfect for a holiday rental, it has a license for this and if the ruin were renovated there are even more options.

• Borehole for irrigation
• Wood burner with boiler
• Radiators throughout

• 4km to Monchique
• 20km to Golf
