Featuring 27 exhibitors from the local area, the wider Algarve and other parts of the country, various types of chocolate, milk, black or white were available in cakes, crepes, tablets, or bombocas as well as sweet pizzas, fondue and even sushi!
Given the product's versatility, in addition to gastronomy, the intention was to make other uses of chocolate known to a wider audience, informing of its tourist potential, using it in conjunction with other local products.
Typical regional products were recreated, and the various exhibitors provided the chance to try some suggestions. A food court area was created for the first time to taste the sweets in a more relaxed fashion.
One of the main objectives this year was to raise awareness of plastic reduction. The cutlery, plates and glasses distributed to the various customers were made of compostable material.
The event was organized by the municipal company Loulé Concelho Global.
