Have proof of a passive income of the current min wage in Portugal, status 11/2021: € 665,-- per month (12 months) for the main applicant, and 50 % of that for a partner or parents plus 30 % of that min wage for each child.

What are the costs involved?

For the D7 residence permit: minimum of 16 months in the country during the first 2-year period. You are also expected to be in the country for 28 months in each 3-year subsequent period. Absence for 6 consecutive months could result in cancellation of your residence permit.
The permanent residence that the D7 provides, requires you to stay a minimum of 30 months during each 5-year period. If you are absent for 25 consecutive months, your residence permit may be cancelled.
